Blood Ritual

Blood Ritual is an active relic in Schism. This is the default active relic when worshiping the Suffering god. The player can still find the relic regularly, even if they did not choose to worship Suffering.

This relic costs 10 MP to cast. When used, it damages the player for 10 HP, and boosts their bonus damage by 1(+0.25 INT) for the current floor the player is in. This bonus disappears when traveling to a new floor.

Relics

  • ! Healer Sigil + Hemomancer Sigil + High WIS: Allows for infinite usage, with Healer Sigil outpacing the damage taken, and Hemomancer Sigil outpacing the mana loss.
  • + Armor Plating: Because Blood Ritual's damage taken is affected by DMG REDUC, Armor Plating will decrease the damage taken when using the relic.
  • + Healer Sigil: The relic will be able to heal back a small amount of HP lost. With high INT and WIS, this healing can circumvent or even outpace the self-damage taken, leading only the mana to be of importance.
  • + Hemomancer Sigil: The relic will be able to regenerate back a small amount of MP lost. With high WIS, this healing can circumvent or even outpace the magic usage, leading only the health to be of importance.
  • = Scholar's Mask: Useful, but risky. The INT as your health is lower will be factored into the scaling before the damage taken, but the risk of having yourself at the brink of death to maximize ATK gain can be fatal.
  • - Crowley Kris: The damage taken with Blood Ritual works against Crowley Kris's ATK scaling with current health, causing you to lose both health and attack upon use. Additionally, Crowley Kris dealing damage to missed shots makes Blood Ritual less safe to use.

Weapons

  • + Healing Stick: The weapon gives a chance to drop both HP and MP, giving a way to heal and regenerate you and allow the item to be used more, and more safely.
  • = Heart Break: Makes Blood Ritual less safe to use. The risk of taking damage if you miss can put you at the brink of death, if not kill. It does, however, make the weapon more likely to kill enemies in one shot.

Misc

  • + ATK SCALING: An increase of damage scaling will provide a percent ATK boost on top of the flat damage gained. This is especially helpful since Blood Ritual has no attack scaling by itself.

Tips

  • Be advised: this relic can kill you. Stay cautious on when it's safe to use the relic, and when it isn't.
  • Your EVA stat can prevent damage from being taken, while still granting bonus attack, although this will still consume MP. A high EVA stat can provide more opportunities to use Blood Ritual overall.
  • Because the attack bonus resets after each stage, it is not recommended to use the relic when you are done with the floor.
