Esoteric Texts is a relic in Schism. The player is able to find and obtain multiple copies of this relic during their run. The associated god for this relic is Chaos, and it may be granted as a stackable relic reward every 3 favor levels.
When picked up, it grants the player +1 point to any of their 8 stats, randomly.
Notes
- Unlike Restored Texts, Esoteric Texts does not grant any XP or level up the player; the bonus stat up is applied on top of the player's current stats.
Trivia
- The definition for esoteric is as follows: 'intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.'
Bugs
- Obtaining Esoteric Texts and then using an Altar to Chaos will not remove the stat up gained from the relic. This most likely applies to other cases where the relic can be removed from the player's inventory.
